BJP District Jammu South holds  Shakti Vandan workshop to reach out to Women's self-help groups and NGOs 
Jammu, 25 Jan:Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of Loksabha polls District President BJP Jammu South Rekha Mahajan held a one-day workshop on Shakti Vandan – Women’s Self Help Groups and NGO Contact Campaign was organized at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The meeting was held in the esteem Presence of former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, Programme Incharge Former MLA Devinder Singh Rana
and Vice President BJP J&K Anuradha Charak, former Minister Sham Lal Choudhary, District Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta, former MLC Vikram Randhawa, and former Dy Mayor Baldev Billowaria.District General Secretary and Programme District Convenor Akash Chopra, Co-convenor Divya Jain, District team of Self-help Groups and Mandal teams.
Rekha Mahajan addressed the inaugural session and talked about the action plan and outline prepared for the campaign from District Jammu South to block levels in rural and urban areas She said that We all have to come together to make the “Shakti Vandan” campaign a success. She said there is no comparison to the hard work of BJP workers.
Kavinder Gupta emphasizes the importance of empowering women in social, economic, political, and spiritual spheres for India to achieve its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Devender Rana pointed out that the empowerment of women was “achieved under the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “There is a need to look at the national scene in terms of pre- and post-2014 cut-off year. Modi has accorded deserved respect to women,” he said.
Anuradha charak explain in detail about the program and formulate a strategy to reach out to NGOs and self-help groups ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. She informed that under the Ministry of Rural Development, around 11 million women’s groups are active throughout the country, in which around 11 million women are associated.
Ayodhya Gupta noted, that the dream of women empowerment and self-reliance seen by Prime Minister Modi will be fulfilled.
Sham Lal Choudhary, Vikram Randhawa, and Baldev Billowria also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, Pardeep Sharma and Suraj Rana were nominated as District Publicity Secretary, and Adv Uma Kapahi and Nitin Mahajan were nominated as District Media Secretary. Akash Chopra conducted the proceedings of the program. National Song was recited by Divya Jain. District General Secretary Pushpinder charak presented a Vote of thanks.
