DC Ramban approves revised Land Rates, tags Development Priorities

RAMBAN, JANUARY 12:  District Collector Ramnan, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today chaired a meeting of all district Collectors. The primary focus of the meeting was on fixi  and approve revised land rates in the district. A detailed review of officer actions based on earlier directives in the Revenue Department meeting last week was also conducted.

The meeting also covered progress on departmental projects and Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Notably, efforts to tackle drug abuse in the district were discussed, with a thorough review of progress during NCORD meetings.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Harbans Lal Sharma, ACR Giasul-Haq, SDM Banihal Zaheer Abbas Bhat, SDM Gool Tanveer-ul-Majid, SDM Ramsoo Ghanshyam Basotra, PD NHAI Parshotam Kumar, Chief Manager TLM Batote, Chief Manager TLC Batote, and other officials attended the meeting.

During the course of the meeting, land acquisition matters took center stage, with on-the-spot approvals granted for three compulsory land acquisitions and one case under the Private Negotiation Committee (PNC). Additionally, rate fixation cases for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) at three locations were finalized.

The Deputy Commissioner directed SDMs to conduct regular developmental reviews, emphasizing the importance of tracking progress in ongoing works by various departments. This approach reflects a commitment to effective governance and timely decision-making in Ramban district.
