DDC Ganderbal chairs DCC & DLRC meeting

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 06: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting, taking review of the performance of banks related to 2nd quarter ending September 2023 of FY 2023-24.

At the outset, the meeting was informed that the Banks operating in the district have disbursed an amount of Rs 420.43 Crores in priority sector against the annual target of Rs. 654.44 crores and Rs 315.05 Crores in non-priority sector against the annual target of Rs. 224.62 Crores, thus there has been a total credit disbursement of Rs 435.48 crores against the yearly target of Rs.879.06 crore registering an achievement of 84% of the annual credit plan for 2nd quarter ending September 2023 of FY 2023-24

Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Shabir A. Dar informed that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs.389.75 crores under priority sector and 264.55 crores under Non priority sector aggregating to total credit of Rs 654.30 showing an achievement of 90% contribution towards total credit dispensation in the district.

The DDC emphasized the need for improving the credit flow in Agriculture and allied sectors under HADP plan.

The performance with respect to social security schemes under Janasurakhsha was also discussed and the DDC emphasized the need for roping in the people under social security schemes with joint coordination of all concerned agencies.

Besides reviewing the performance of Banks and Govt. departments under various Schemes, the DDC directed the line agencies to sponsor quality cases and the Banks for speedy disposal of Govt. Sponsored cases.

The meeting was also attended by AGM, RBI Sanjeev Sharma, DDM, NABARD, RSETI Director and District Coordinators of all the Banks, Govt. departments and other development agencies.
