R.S.Pura Police by continuing its efforts against drug menace, on 03-01-2024, while conducting routine patrolling led by *Inspector Naveen Agarwal SHO RS Pura* in Khanna Chak area under the
jurisdiction of P/S R.S.Pura, apprehended a person, who was behaving in a very
suspicious manner and was trying to conceal himself, upon enquiry he disclosed
his name as *Ashwani Kumar @ Kali S/o Mohinder* Lal R/o Rangpur Sidhrey, Tehsil
Suchetgarh District Jammu.
During his personal search, heroine like substance
was found from his pocket and he disclosed that he has brought it from a couple,
who is also nearby and led the Police party.
The said couple on seeing the Police party, too tried to flee from the spot, but, subsequently got apprehended and
disclosed their identity as
1. *Ankush Kumar S/o Baru Ram & Preeti W/o Ankush Kumar* both residing at present Khanna Chak Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu.
During checking, *92 grams of Heroin like substance (Chitta)* was recovered from
the possession of above-mentioned couple. Both the duo were trying to sell this heroine like substance to the passersby’s.
Taking cognizance into the matter, a case FIR No. 05/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of NDPS Act was registered against them and all three involved were arrested & investigation set into motion.
The arrest was made by a team under the close supervision of *Nikhil Gogna, JKPS SDPO R.S.Pura,* under the overall supervision and guidance of *Shri Ramnish Gupta, JKPS, SP Hqrs Jammu.*
