BJP adopting anti people approach - Bhalla

Jammu, January 03:-The District Congress Committee Jammu (Urban) today  held monthly meeting at the Congress office at Shaheedi Chowk to discuss important matters. The meeting was presided over by JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla and attended by Vice Presidents JKPCC Ved Mahajan, Hari Singh Chib, Rajnish Sharma (Treasurer) & Pranav Shagotra.

 

The meeting was organized by President DCC Jammu Urban Th. Manmohan Singh. Prominent among those present on the occasion include General Secretaries  PCC Narinder Gupta, Adv. Suresh Kr. Dogra, Balbir Singh, Satish Sharma Secretaries PCC Rajveer Singh, Michael Wazir, Jyoti Vaid, anjeet Singh Jatt, Hoshyar Singh, AP Singh Lucky, Ricky Dalotra, Rakesh Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Dewan Chand, Vijay Malhotra,, Camres Bbloo, Parshotam Mehra, Ram Magotra, Surinder Singh Dutt, Latish Sharma, H.S. Bagi, Ram Parkash Magotra, Som Nath Sharma, Darshan Lal Mehra, Ram Dayal Raina, Vijay Verma, Raj Kumar Meenia, Om Parkash and others.

 

Speaking on the occasion Shri Raman Bhalla  said that after abrogation of special status, the lands of poor being snatched, the protection to jobs have gone and there are no jobs in government and private sector. In this situation the BJP government and UT administration is putting additional burden of all sorts of taxes on poor. When the people raise their voice, they are booked on frivolous charges and crushed to suppress the voice of people. He said that to divert the public attention from the failures on all the fronts, the BJP is trying to divide the people on communal lines. The atmosphere across the country has been vitiated with the patriotic Indians, due to attempt of the BJP to divide the common people on communal lines.

 He said that the claims of BJP for opening of floodgates of private investments and creation of large scale jobs in private sector, as nothing of this sort has been witnessed. The local traders, contractors, businessmen and transporters are loosing business opportunities to outside  residents,  especially  in Jammu region, while strongly criticizing the disbanding and downgrading of historical state into UT. He said that the promise of  large scale  Govt. jobs and opening private sector for jobs, was a big bluff & joke with the educated youth of J&K. He accused the BJP government of exploiting their political powers vested in them by virtue of forming the government at the Centre to target the Congress leadership and in an attempt to weaken the opposition and distract the public attention away from their failures.

Bhalla stated that the BJP is misusing government agencies like the ED to constantly harass opposition leaders especially the Congress party is being brutally targeted,  as Congress leaders are not allowed to raise their voices against the blunders of the Modi Government.  The government wants to suppress any voice of reason that wants to fight for the right and point out their faults, Bhalla said that the BJP government feels empowered as they control central agencies in the country and they can use them to defame and harass their opposition which is the Congress party.

He further said that the BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal after betrayal. He asked the party functionaries to highlight the failures of BJP on various  fronts, including economy, foreign policy, communal harmony, inflation, farmers’ income, national security, welfare for the Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes, and other backward classes. The best way to get rid from this anti people policies of government  is to defeat BJP in the upcoming Parliament elections, Bhalla added

 

Reacting over the recently passed bill in the Parliament after throughout 145 opposition MPs from the Parliament Mr.  Narinder Gupta, General Secretary PCC & Former Chairman Jammu Bus Stand Travel Agency said it was most unfortunate that the bill was passed  in a hidden way, as there was nobody in the Parliament to oppose the decision. Moreover Govt. should take in confidence all stakeholders including opposition. Smelling large scale opposition from the people, the Govt. has kept the implementation on hold for the time being and it will again implement the same. He said the best way to get rid from all such anti-people policies of the BJP Govt. it should be defeated in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.  The congress party supports Transport Unions for their right cause, Gupta added.
