JAMMU: – Apni Party Youth Wing General Secretary and Spokesperson, Abhay Bakaya today demanded de-notification of Gair Mumkin Khad in Jammu District.
As per a press release, Abhay Bakaya said that the people who have constructed their houses, commercial establishments and lives of thousands of people depend upon the decision of the Govt on Gair Mumkin Khad.
He said that the people live in distress because their property falls in Gair Mumkin Khad area of Jammu District that is yet to be de-notified by the Govt.
“Same type of land in other Districts has been regularized /de-notified by the Govt in other districts, whereas Jammu District has been ignored and the steps to de-notify the Gair Mumkin Khad have not been initiated,” he added.
In these circumstances, he said that it becomes imperative to take a final call and accordingly, de-notify the Gair Mumkin Khad in Jammu District keeping in view the larger interest of the masses.
“Most of the land in Jammu is settled on Gair Mumkin Khad and the decision to avoid de-notification has pushed the commoners to the wall. Hence, a positive decision in favour of the people should be taken,” he added.
