PULWAMA, JANUARY 10: In a momentous event held at Block Headquarter Kakapora, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom today presided over the Block Diwas cum Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
On the occasion, various line departments showcased their schemes and benefits through stalls, enlightening the public about opportunities available. A substantial turnout marked the event, where public delegations voiced their demands and expressed gratitude for the District Administration’s responsiveness.
The DC, while actively listening to grievances, expressed appreciation for the people’s participation and acknowledged Kakapora’s pivotal role in the program’s success. He emphasized the essence of such events as a platform for effective public outreach, aimed at redressing grievances promptly.
Reflecting on the success of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Dr Basharat noted that the program’s triumph lies in the active participation of the community. The Yatra, which commenced on November 25, 2023, has significantly impacted the lives of the people, aligning with its goal of fostering development and progress.
He extended gratitude to the public for their engagement in the sanitation campaign within the Block. He also pledged to establish a sports playground for the Panchayat and encouraged artisans to participate in the upcoming Vishwakarma scheme camp.
