January 06 : District Police Kulgam is making every effort to hunt down the drug peddlers in the district and to put them behind the bars.
In this regard; A special Naka was established by the Police party of police station Qaimoh at Wanpora, Shamsipora and during checking one suspicious person namely; Nisar Ahmad Ganie S/O Bashir Ahmad Ganie R/O Hussanporabagh carrying a nylon bag was intercepted. After checking, officers present were able to recover 03 Kgs of Grinded Cannabis like contraband substance filled in the said bag from his possession. He was arrested on spot.
Regarding this incident, a Case with FIR No. 03/2024 U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Qaimoh and investigation has been taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti-social activity in their neighborhood, so that timely action will be taken against the culprit.
