Reasi : Continuing the drive against drug abuse and illicit liquor launched by District Police Reasi. Reasi Police recovered illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger involved in smuggling the illicit liquor.
Police party of Police Post Talwara laid a surprise naka at Talwara area, on seeing Police party one person tried to flee in suspicious circumstances, was chased and apprehended. On search of bag carried by him 28 bottles of JK Desi whiskey (total 10 liters & 870 ml) from the possession of person namely Angrez Singh S/O Punjab Singh R/O Migrant Colony Talwara, Reasi.
In this regard, a Case FIR No. 04/2024 U/S 48-(A) Excise Act. Stands registered at Police Station Reasi investigation initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages. Arrest and recovery was made by I/C PP Talwara and SHO Reasi.
