Jammu. Mahant Rohit Shastri, President, Shri Kailakh Jyotish evam Vedic Sanathan Trust was felicitated by the members of the Trust in a ceremony organized at Hari Niwas, for having been bestowed with the prestigious State Award. The Jammu and Kashmir government had announced the State Award for Social Reformer and Empowerment in the field of Sanskrit to Mahant Rohit Shastri on the eve of Republic Day. Pawan Khajuria, the working President of the trust, expressed joy that Mahant Rohit Shastri got the distinction of being the first Sanskrit Scholar of the state to receive the State Award since independence. This was a proud moment of the trust because the State Award was in recognition of the crucial role played by the trust, under the leadership of Mahant Rohit Shastri, in the promotion and propagation of Devvani Sanskrit, social service, and ancient culture. Various members of the trust, including Ke Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Akshay Gupta, Deepak Gupta, Prabodh Sharma, Uttam Chand Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Jagdev Singh Chib, Ankush Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, former councillor Narottam Sharma, Lalit Khajuria, Naresh Raina, Amit, and others were present at the occasion.
