NHM employees Jammu Division hold divisional level meet, constitute new divisional level body
Jammu, January 28:NHM employees, including medical officers, paramedics, and management staff, gathered today at Geeta Bhawan, Jammu, for a crucial meeting. The primary aim of the convention was to establish a new divisional-level body of JKNHMEA to address the concerns  and challenges faced by NHM employees in Jammu Division.
The decision to hold this meeting followed extensive consultations with all district presidents, many block presidents reflecting a collective desire for unity and collaboration. The event provided a platform for employees to voice their opinions and advocate for improvements and a more fulfilling work environment.
The voting process for framing the new body was conducted under the supervision of distinguished guests, including Ashok Choudhary (Sangathan Mantri BMS – Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh), Neelim (Gen Sec BMS), Harbans Choudhary (President BMS), Bharat Bhushan Sharma (President Bhartiya Vikas Parishad), Babu Hussan (President EJAC J&K), and Darvinder (President Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation. JKMEF).
Following the vote, the leadership for the new divisional body was determined. Rohit Seth was elected as President, entrusted with leading the organization.
Dr. Nazir Hussain MO ,took on the crucial role of General Secretary, responsible for the smooth functioning of the body. Sarita and Naushad Ahmed were appointed Vice Presidents, each bringing their unique perspective and support to the leadership team. Sajjad assumed the essential role of Cashier/Treasurer, managing the organization’s finances. To ensure comprehensive representation and diverse viewpoints, Pooja, Ajay Choudhary, Nargis, and Shabnam Sehni were elected as Secretaries, each focusing on specific areas within the organization. Finally, Parminder and Dr. Raman were selected as Advisors, offering their valuable experience and guidance to the newly formed body.
The new body plans to expand further in the future by adding more members. This event marks a significant step towards stronger representation and advocacy for NHM employees in Jammu Division.
