Srinagar, Jan 14 The Northern Army commander, Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi, asked officers of the security forces on Saturday to remain steadfast towards maintaining peace and tranquilly in Kashmir.
The directions were issued during a joint security review meeting that was held at the Army’s Awantipora-based headquarters of the Victor Force in South Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by top officers of the Army, police, CRPF, and intelligence agencies.
“The Army Commander complimented officers from Victor Force, Kilo Force, Dagger Division, Vajra Division, #CRPF, @JmuKmrPolice, and other intelligence agencies for seamless synergy inoperationss, joint combat readiness, counter-terrorism grid, and soldier-citizen connection. He directed them to remain steadfast towards maintaining peace and tranquility in the e region Northern Command posted on X.
Meanwhile, Lt Gen Dwivedi also laid a wreath at the Chinar War Memorial as a mark of respect to remember bravehearts at Badamj Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar on the eve of Veterans Day 2024. He also lit candles.
